Livorno and the Beginning of Phase 3.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Darren & Malcolm @ 8:28 am

This is Livorno harbour, a very good place to go for looking at boats and ships of all sizes.  It is Tuscany’s second largest city and apparently is the birthplace of the Italian Communist Party.  We thought we would take a look at this large seaport as I am always flying over the town coming into Pisa Airport.  The photograph probably shows the most scenic part of the city, ie the harbour with all the lovely yachts and mediterrenean cruise ships.

There are so many treasures to see in Tuscany that Livorno will not be top of anyones list, but it does add to the enormous variety of places to see here, and a place to park your boat if you are lucky enough to have one.

This is where we have knocked down the wall to the old kitchen in preparation for what will be our new sitting room.  We are currently trying to work on the main part of the house this autumn and creat more comfortable and stylish living quarters.  Part of this was to take down a non-original dividing wall in the kitchen to create a new reception downstairs.  With a large open fire to roast our chestnuts on at Christmas!

It may be that blogs during this phase may not be quite as frequent but please keep up with us and comment.
